Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale brings back a Marvel hero
Daredevil: Born Again season 2 finale closes with a surprise return by Jessica Jones in the climax of episode 8. The episode frames Bullseye as the season's central antagonist and ends with a brutal showdown that reshapes Hell's Kitchen. The closing credits feature a Radiohead track that amplifies the finale's bleak, cinematic mood. Jessica Jones' comeback sets up immediate crossover stakes for the street-level Marvel universe and future storylines.
Now that the season finale of "Daredevil: Born Again" is out, can I just say that between "Wake Up Dead Man", "Hoppers" and "Born Again", it is fascinating how so much Second Trump Era pop culture is about how the evil people who have killed and want to kill you deserve "grace."
******* SPOILER ALERT!!! TURN BACK NOW OR FOREVER HOLD YOUR BIZZ********* Fisk kills like 50 people with his bare hands! No way you just let him walk!! Also I kind of resent that the protesters quickly flipped to "Kill Fisk!" it was slightly jarring.
I love how those three are in contrast to "Invincible" where the irredeemable need to be stopped, most likely with death. Then again, the "irredeemable" villain being rehabilitated into an ally has long been a trope in Japanese media, but I'm not sure where it came from there.
We also saw this with some of the Biden era films that were about how forgiveness and trust is needed. Raya the last dragon particularly comes to mind.
