No I also think we should get rid of the national anthem. The only major sports leauge in this country that doesn't have Canadian Teams is the NFL, just play the damn game or have Bobble Head Teddy Rosevelt start whopping a giant hot dog's ass.

I’m not talking smack about anybody that can sing the National Anthem better than 99% of the people that try to sing it. That was awesome.

In the 1970s people used to boo the National Anthem during the Vietnam War. To change that narrative, the Flyers instead went to God Bless America. Then brought a very, very old Kate Smith in to sing it in the playoffs in 75. They won the cup. Now it’s played before all playoff and big games.

I still think that the major interpretive frame for Trump's America is hyperreality, but, man, Statler and Waldorf up there would have an absolute field day with Ronald McDonald singing the National Anthem at a baseball game...

It’s a pretty stupid song too. America the Beautiful is the best overall choice for a national anthem.

First was not-in-Canada Buffalo performing “O Canada” before their home games (which, again, are not in Canada) and now Philly unilaterally decided we have a different, shittier national anthem. We might need to shut down the hockey playoffs until we can sort this out.
