La Vuelta Femenina Stage 7, L'Angliru looming as Lippert leads break

Liane Lippert attacked from the breakaway and is riding solo with 7.4 kilometers to go, holding about a 1 minute 23 second advantage as the peloton reaches the steep slopes of L'Angliru. Stage 7 started in Pola Llaviana and covers 132 kilometers, the longest day of La Vuelta Femenina, with a summit finish on L'Angliru. Lotte Kopecky wears the green points jersey and will secure the jersey as long as she reaches the finish. Because L'Angliru's brutal gradients create large time gaps, Lippert's buffer could deliver a surprise stage win and force major shifts in the general classification.
