SHEEP DETECTIVES (in theaters) is a delight. It has one of the silliest premises imaginable -- a group of sheep must work together to solve the murder of their shepherd -- but the VFX are solid, the cast is great, and it has a heartwarming message about found family. Plus some great Sheep Humor!

Be careful about reading too many detective novels to your pet sheep — they just might solve your murder. Or perhaps the fantastical plot of the appealing “The Sheep Detectives” is the best endorsement for exposing animals to works of mystery fiction.

We took the kids to see The Sheep Detectives. Report: 1) It’s really charming. 2) It bears little to no resemblance to Three Bags Full. The book will not spoil the movie, and vice versa. 3) Older kid loved it. Little kid thought it was too sad. (It was not very sad but had its moments.)

Sheep Detectives has no right being as good and heartfelt as it is. If you have the opportunity, do see it! Also, Good Omens fans will recognize some filming locations as several areas of Tadfield 😂 (Hambleden Village and Square.)

Enjoyed my movie. I’m such a crier. I cried at Sheep Detectives! Stopped at a local grocer to get some sale soda, and bought myself some beautiful roses to enjoy (one of the few flowers non toxic to cats).
