I was rather disappointed by this. I think Bernthal could still make a great Punisher but the writing doesn’t seem to allow that. And I’m now sad that he’s the one writing this and this is how he views Frank…

My The Punisher: One Last Kill review: imagine if John Wick wasn’t fun. A 10 minute first act stretched out into an hour long special. I love The Punisher. I love Jon Bernthall’s portrayal of Frank Castle. I did not enjoy this at all.

Punisher: One Last Kill is unpleasant. Never liked The Punisher or how he became a wank power fantasy for a certain type of man-boy, but if you take a character like that and reduce the justification for summary execution to "this guy killed a dog" you've just created something irredeemably vile

"The Punisher: One Last Kill" is as brutal as The Punisher always was. I always thought Jon Bernthal to be physically too small to actually portray Frank Castle - in the comics he is between 6'1'' and 6'4'' depending on who wrote it - and Bernthal's 5'10'' seems rather petite in comparison.
