The Red Hot Chili Peppers sold their recorded back catalogue to Warner Music for about $300 million, roughly £220 million. The deal transfers ownership of the band's master recordings, covering landmark songs such as "Under the Bridge" and "Californication," and is separate from the band's 2021 publishing rights sale. Warner now controls licensing and streaming rights to those masters, which will drive future revenue and placement opportunities in film, TV, and advertising.
