ROH Supercard of Honor, Pure Rules opener sees Nigel McGuinness win
Nigel McGuinness defeated Josh Woods under Pure Rules to open ROH's Supercard of Honor. The match centered on rope-break strategy and targeted submissions as McGuinness methodically worked Woods' limbs to secure victory. The card included three Pure Rules matches total, and both men's matches saw competitors exhaust all their rope breaks. Both women's Pure Rules bouts reached closed-fist warnings, showing ROH used the stipulation to spotlight technical, strategic wrestling across the show.
ok, some predictions and opinions for #ROH #SupercardOfHonor tonight, by popular demand or whatever 🤼
The more I think about it, the more I think Billie's eventual win should be a one on one so I'm gonna have to agree on Athena retaining.
I'm with you on everything but Nigel/Woods. I can't make my mind up because the man is retired but can still go...but I could also see him being a sweetheart and putting Woods over 😂
Blake needs to win the title. Bandito needs to make his AEW status concrete. I love the National Title defended on ROH PPVs a thing.
Same picks, except I think Billie is gonna do it this time. I think Billie being in school still was the reason they didn't pull the trigger, but she just got her degree, so I think it's the perfect time. That and Athena can do some damage in AEW proper, with Toni out and Mercedes not back yet.
I want AR Fox to be champion forever and ever (and ever!) but I could see Lio getting it here with the buzz around his new gimmick and all
I just have to say, these graphics are very cool but wow they are hard to read...
Look, I love Blake Christian. Hell, I even like Jack Harlow, but he should not be beating Bandido. If Swerve runs in I guess I'll be ok with it
They finally put a belt on AR Fox, and I'd love to see Blake Christian with a title as well. He'd make a great heel champ.
