Ken Loach criticises 'Your Party' infighting at Cannes
At Cannes press events, director Ken Loach said "poor behaviour" within Your Party squandered a historic opportunity to unite the left against Reform UK and the far right. The longtime Corbyn ally said "the people WHO have nothing are always blamed, and the people WHO got rich on the system escape," framing the infighting as a diversion from tackling economic inequality. Loach warned that internal disputes shifted attention away from building a common electoral strategy to challenge right-wing parties, a consequence that could shape upcoming elections and progressive unity.
‘They lost a historic opportunity’: Ken Loach laments Your Party infighting
It really was no surprise. These are the factions of the Purity of Perpetual Opposition party. Actually getting elected to government is a betrayal as far as they're concerned.
Isn’t one half of Your Party suing the other half for withholding donations and data or has that stopped now
The left are bad for infighting, the very-left are worse. It's exasperating.
It was lost before they started. Corbyn should have walked away from Labour the minute he was ousted. The delay cost them the momentum he'd built up. That was the historic window of opportunity. It had closed years before Your Party came along.
Your Party are like distilled leftist politics A committee for a meeting for a working group that ends up eating itself in the first few days… It’s all so bloody Catholic isn’t it? 🤣
