Yokoso Scooby‑Doo! anime lands on Tubi with Matthew Lillard, Frank Welker

Tubi has announced ‘YOKOSO SCOOBY-DOO!’, the franchise’s first original anime series. The show follows Scooby-Doo and Shaggy’s adventures in Japan. Frank Welker and Matthew Lillard will reprise their roles as Scooby-Doo and Shaggy.

Yokoso Scooby-Doo!, the next new Scooby-Doo series and the first anime one, has been picked up by Tubi as an original series. OLM, known for their work on Pokemon, Yo-kai Watch, and Berserk, animates. (Yokoso = welcome in Japanese)

You know what's funny about Yokoso Scooby-Doo aside from the fact that it's premiering on a free AVOD streamer like Tubi? This will be the first Scooby-Doo animated series to premiere on a non-Warner Bros.-owned outlet since A Pup Named Scooby-Doo premiered on ABC on September 10, 1988.

"YOKOSO SCOOBY-DOO!," the Scooby-Doo anime series originally announced two years ago as "Go-Go Mystery Machine," is now in production and will be premiering as a Tubi original in the United States and on Cartoon Network internationally.

Description says "While visiting Japan on the ultimate foodie adventure, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo unwittingly unleash hundreds of mischievous mythical monsters." Shaggy presumably eats a stack of combini egg sandwiches at some point.

Tubi-Dooby-Doo: continuing their partnership with Warner Bros. Animation, Tubi has snapped up the U.S. rights to “Yokoso Scooby-Doo”, an OLM production (the same studio behind the Pokémon anime). Cartoon Network will air the show outside the U.S.
