The Mandalorian and Grogu opens; Pedro Pascal surprises fans at Disneyland

Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu opened in theaters and IMAX this weekend, bringing Grogu and Din Djarin's world back to the big screen. Critics praised the film's action, fun, and Grogu moments while criticizing uneven pacing and a TV-episode feel. Pedro Pascal made a surprise in-person appearance at Disneyland to celebrate the release and greet park visitors. The theatrical rollout marks a major Star Wars TV-to-cinema push, with Grogu-centered storytelling positioned to drive mainstream interest beyond streaming.
