Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey to screen in 70mm at Westwood Village
Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey will screen in 70mm at Westwood Village Theatre for a special three-week engagement beginning July 17, with early screenings on July 16. The Odyssey was shot entirely on IMAX film cameras using Kodak 65mm stock, and select repertory houses including SIFF Cinema Downtown and the Music Box will also present 70mm prints with premium large-format tickets going on sale soon. The limited 70mm run gives viewers a rare opportunity to experience Nolan's large-scale visuals and practical effects on true analog large-format projection, presented as the filmmaker intended.
New poster for Christopher Nolan's ‘THE ODYSSEY’. In theaters on July 17.
Looks like Odyssey is going to fight Transformers: The Last Knight
Ah yes, the famous snowy pine forests of the Mediterranean.
I can't wait till we find out there are over 1000 vfx shots in this film
Who are these supposed to be, in the original story? The giants who sink the ships of the fleet? It felt so plastic in the trailer, and the poster is not doing a good job either.
And how Odysseus ended up in King Arthur’s court, you’ll just have to watch and find out. 🤨
