Long before ICE functioned as the secret police of an overtly fascist regime, the agency was an evil force that preyed on immigrants, as were previous iterations of immigration policing.

I’m seeing people take this weird either/or approach to a lot of issues lately. “Stop being mad at Trump; be mad at Republicans who won’t get him out of office.” Seems both fair and efficient to hate both, but I guess they’re worried we’ll exhaust our National Strategic Hate Reserve or something.
