The Odyssey ticket rush briefly crashes AMC app as IMAX demand soars
AMC's app briefly crashed as tickets for Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey went on sale June 4. Heavy demand for IMAX and 70mm screenings routed buyers into throttled queues with waits of up to an hour, and IMAX revealed a special collectible popcorn bucket tied to the release. Some theaters are repairing or readying IMAX 70mm projectors, including Scotiabank Montreal, underscoring how Nolan's large-format filmmaking is creating scarce premium-ticket demand ahead of the film's release.
The first popcorn bucket for ‘THE ODYSSEY’ is an IMAX camera.
So... nothing to do with the actual movie then?
This is the most Nolan-coded popcorn bucket I’ve ever seen
All this talk of popcorn buckets because of Dune Part 2.
I think it would be dope for a movie about movies but for this one that just comes off as supremely pretentious.
That doesn’t even make sense! There’s no IMAX camera in Homer’s “The Odyssey.”
should have been a helmet
... Oooookay? Why? That has nothing to do with the movie?
Does it work? At anything besides holding popcorn more or less as well as a 30 gallon paper tub?
