Janet Mills says she’s still on the ballot

politicsJun 4, 2026411,064

Maine Gov. Janet Mills says she has not withdrawn and remains on the Democratic Senate primary ballot against Graham Platner. Mills suspended active campaigning but never filed a formal withdrawal, so her name will appear on the upcoming primary ballot alongside David Costello and write-in Andrea LaFlamme. The primary winner will become the Democratic nominee to challenge Republican Susan Collins in November. Mills staying on the ballot matters because Platner faces serious allegations, making the primary outcome pivotal for the party’s chance to hold the seat.

Hey Maine Democrats, jettison Platner now. He’ll lose to Collins just based on the shit we know about him now. And there will be lots more shit coming out on him. Janet Mills remains on the ballot. Vote for her. She’ll beat Collins. And that’s the only thing that matters, right?
