Ubisoft unveiled a remaster of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag at Summer Game Fest, releasing a 'Resynced' trailer that reintroduces protagonist Edward Kenway. The trailer highlights restored naval combat, ship boarding and freerunning parkour alongside upgraded visuals and audio synced to original scenes. Ubisoft did not announce a release date or the platforms that will receive the remaster. Black Flag's ship-based exploration and combat were a high point for the series, so the remaster could reintroduce that gameplay to new players and shape future Assassin's Creed entries.
