Former Channel 4 News anchor Jon Snow, 78, announced he has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease and will document his experience in a new film. Snow served as Channel 4 News lead presenter for 32 years and remains a familiar figure in British journalism. The Alzheimer's Society confirmed he has the most common form of dementia and the film will follow him navigating diagnosis and daily life. His disclosure and the documentary aim to raise awareness about living with dementia and could help reduce stigma for patients and families.

I read Jon Snow’s autobiography about twenty years ago and he came off like a nice, pleasant and well meaning - if not necessarily flawless - person. I wish him all the best, it’s a cruel disease.
