Studio MDHR announces Cuphead sequel and Mighty Cuphead Adventure

Studio MDHR revealed a new hand-animated Cuphead sequel and an 8-bit spin-off called Mighty Cuphead Adventure at Summer Game Fest. Mighty Cuphead Adventure channels a Sega Master System 8-bit aesthetic, and fans are recreating box art, mock physical cartridges, and retro sprite animatics. Creators are also producing hand-drawn illustrations and short animatics of Cuphead and Mugman that imagine scenes from the announced sequel. Merch mockups and cosplay inspired by 1980s tie-in packaging complete the range of fan work.
