Monster Hunter Wilds expansion named Ascendance

Capcom revealed the Monster Hunter Wilds expansion is titled Ascendance during its Summer Game Fest 2026 showcase. The developer message and new screenshots show Ascendance will open skyborne regions above the Wilds, introduce new traversal and combat encounters, and tease returning familiar characters. Capcom scheduled Ascendance for 2027 and said it will deliver major post-launch content for Wilds players. Those skyborne zones and teased returns could reshape endgame progression and draw longtime series players back to Wilds.
