Capcom revealed Monster Hunter Wilds expansion Ascendance at Summer Game Fest, teasing skyborne regions, new screenshots, and a 2027 release with a Nintendo Switch 2 version. Artists and creators are producing illustrations, short animatics, cosplay, and gameplay edits that highlight aerial arenas, the new Boost Bracer mobility tool, and fights against Master Rank monsters and Elder Dragons. Recurring subjects include Kushala Daora, hopes to introduce Garuba Daora from Frontier to western players, and calls for Zinogre or Stygian Zinogre returns. Art often portrays hunters in rooftop-style dogfights against jetlike bird monsters while exploiting Boost Bracer maneuvers.

While I really hope we get a Rise successor on Switch 2 I am so excited for this, unlike most people I absolutely LOVE Monster Hunter Wilds, I hope it launches in a better state than the PC version but Monster Hunter belongs on a handheld and I will absolutely buy it again

Honestly I'm pretty interested in seeing how this one runs. The Switch 2 does have DLSS, so maybe it'll perform better than the Series S version?

They should port World to Switch 2 first tbh. That'd definitely run great and probably give the devs some more experience getting demanding games on the console.
