Star Trek: Shadow Frontier announced, Bloober Team to develop Ro Laren horror game
Paramount Games and Bloober Team announced Star Trek: Shadow Frontier, a 2027 psychological thriller starring Star Trek: The Next Generation officer Ro Laren, unveiled in a reveal trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026. Bloober Team, developer of the Silent Hill 2 remake, will deliver a third-person, story-driven action-adventure that casts players as Ro after her ship crash-lands on a distant planet overtaken by a strange consciousness. The game will release on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Switch 2 in 2027. This project brings Bloober's psychological horror sensibility to a canonical Star Trek character, offering a darker, narrative-first entry that expands what Star Trek games can be.

It’s funny that just a couple years ago I would have gone “ah fuck, not Bloober team” but now I’m “fuck yeah, Bloober team with another banger!”
Can’t say I expected a Ro Laren game
Awesome. Need more Star Trek games worth playing! I want an open world one dang it. Like Mass Effect. Visiting and exploring worlds, space battles, imagine it!
"Star Trek game" is a dark and gritty horror game
I was not expecting a Star Trek horror game, but I'm curious
They did a VR one called Star Trek Infection a bit ago. The plot was fairly decent, it’s just a shame a lot of the game around it was very jank.
Its a shame its Bloober Team but I thought they managed a good job with SH2 and I heard Cronos is decent so hoping it turns out alright.
