David Sullivan has stepped down as joint-chair and director of West Ham United with immediate effect, the club said, after he was "made aware of the impending publication of serious historic allegations." Sullivan, a co-owner of the club, also resigned his directorship at WH Holding Limited. His exit removes a principal executive from West Ham's board and creates immediate governance and leadership questions for the club as it addresses the forthcoming allegations.
