Pop‑Tarts flavor debate
A Pop-Tarts flavor debate centers on which varieties are best and worst, with unfrosted versions prompting defenders WHO dislike frosting texture and wild-berry entries drawing frequent complaints about taste. S'mores and a 'Mystery Flavored' everything-bagel variant are repeatedly named among the worst, and many say savory Pop-Tarts are gross on principle. Kellogg now lists Protein Pop-Tarts on its website, which has raised concerns from shoppers worried about stevia-like aftertastes. This matters because Pop-Tarts relies on nostalgia and limited-edition experiments, so bad flavors can alienate longtime buyers and make future product launches riskier.
What's the worst flavor Pop-Tart you've ever had? (Also, yes ha ha ha saying "all of them" is a delightfully biting, original and witty take, we get it)
any of the un-frosted ones because wtf what is the point of that
S’mores may not have been the worst, but it’s the most disappointing relative to its potential
Hot take: I don't like the chocolate ones. The fakey chocolate is gross to me. I was psyched as a kid to try the Timon and Pumbaa ones with the bug sprinkles and I was SO disappointed when I actually bit into them.
I sincerely don’t get why unfrosted strawberry exists. 😅
Fine I’ll be the one standing up for unfrosted Pop Tarts. I don’t like the texture of the frosting.
The Girl Scout Thin Mint variety was really disappointing.
The Girl Scouts flavors were bad.
this was even worse than the root beer one somehow
HONESTLY? I don't recall ever trying them, but the Crush Soda ones seem terrible on principle.
...i can't think of a pop tart flavor i ever had that was bad.
When there are 30 flavors, but your mom only buys the one she likes. That flavor.
Any one that had chocolate in it. I don't like the kind of chocolate they use for them. Just give me a Frosted Cherry or a Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and we're good.
Whatever the hell this was supposed to be
Brown sugar. Much too sweet
The mystery "everything bagel" ones from a few years ago. Absolutely disGUSTANG
The Crush Orange Flavor Pop-Tart, I Don't Like It.
I don’t have an answer to this one, but I would like to say that my mother used to a) cut mine into bite-sized pieces, and b) smother them in butter (these were the chocolate ones). Why did she do that??
there's this chocolate chip pancake one that i assume was a recent release... made me wonder if i even liked pancakes that much.
The frickin unfrosted ones. Any of them.
I have a universal rule of never eating anything claiming to be cherry flavoured. Except cherries.
I've never had a bad Pop Tart, but I've hardly had them all.
One of the plain ones probably, strawberry? They just kind of sad without frosting, but otherwise they’re generally decent to great.
I got a box of these from the markdown rack at my local Ralphs. I think it set me back about two bucks. It was koyaanisqatsi, corrupt, out of balance.
S’mores. Still have a nostalgic weakness for strawberry and frosted strawberry, but those might be the only two I like.
I really hate the lemon blueberry crumble as far as contemporary flavors go And, as always, bring back unfrosted peanut butter you cowards @kellogs
Strawberry - there - I said it.
was there a chocolate fudge one or has my brain turned into an LLM? no, they're a flavor. maybe I just had a bad batch.
HAHAHA ALL OF THEM HAHAHAHAHAHA GET IT ITS FUNNY AND ORIGINAL HAAHA
Any off brand unfrosted one sucked. The best was Frosted Dutch Apple.
smores is fucking disgusting and i LOVE marshmallow
All I know is that nobody can say anything negative about blueberry whatever. I dare you
I am usually not adventurous with pop tarts bc there's a lot of misses but every and any wild berry anything has always been so BAD and they keep repackaging it That and the s'mores flavor
I once, accidentally, has s'mores flavor. (I don't much care for marshmallow)
Wildberry if I recall correctly
Chocolate chip cookie dough. Pregnant me thought they sounded amazing. Pregnant me threw them up.
red velvet (cookies n creme sucks too)
Never liked any of the chocolate-flavored ones.
I feel like I will never find the answer bc any time I reach for a pop tart (seldom), I can’t resist buying s’mores. I know at that point it’s just dessert, but I can’t help it.
We got a chocolate chip pancake one that was criminal
That recent Birthday Cake one was awful.
oh also I had a chocolate orange one from the UK that I was expecting a lot out of, but it was disappointingly mild
I haven't had too many so I can't drag out anything interesting, but I think the cherry was bad.
When I was a kid I loved the brown sugar ones but at some point something switched in my tastes and now they're just way too sweet.
If they make any Pop-Tart flavor, i'm gonna be the one sucker who is gonna like it. It's a curse.
The "Mystery Flavored" ones that were everything bagel flavored. Savory Pop-Tarts are gross on principle but that was particularly bad
