Disclosure Day opens to strong reviews, praise for Blunt and Spielberg
I’m very pleased to have had the chance to storyboard DISCLOSURE DAY and work with Steven Spielberg, one of my filmmaking heroes.
oh man talk about dream jobs!
👀 👀 👀 I didn’t really go to see it for UFOs I went to see it for the BLOCKING and FRAMING my god
I’ve got tickets for tomorrow night!
going to go see this weekend!
Can't wait for the coffee table book!
Congrats! A dream came true.
Great work! Saw it this week! Great film!
This is awesome Gabriel. Congrats!
I really liked DISCLOSURE DAY, and I found the last 10 minutes or so very emotionally moving. I don't really know why. But it's a really good movie and we're lucky to live at the same time as Spielberg.
I cannot account for the CGI animals. I know for a fact that the animals depicted are not extinct; I have observed some of them myself in nature. Spielberg puts flaws in his movies to remind us he is mortal.
I found it very moving in the same way I did ARRIVAL, and of course, CLOSE ENCOUNTERS. The idea of profound awe of the universe being a religious experience, figuratively and literally, and the knowledge of our place in the universe being a call to a higher purpose, that purpose being empathy.
I was a mess at the end. Also during that phenomenal scene between Colman Domingo and Colin Firth in the house.
I’m watch Disclosure Day but I got myself one of the remaining TADC buckets!!
Disclosure Day was fun, thrilling, a wonderful watch that is refreshingly earnest. Maybe too earnest for many, but deeply Spielberg in visuals and action with music that is VERY John Williams. Been a while since I experienced that myself LOL
I didn’t manage to get bucket I don’t think my theatre ever had them to be fair
Fully bought in on Disclosure Day now that I know it's at least a solid B-plus movie because nobody does a solid B-plus movie better than Spielberg. Bridge of Spies is possibly the best solid B-plus movie of the century.
Bridge of Spies is exactly this, and you're deeply on point. The car sequence in East Berlin is top-notch.
When I first saw him working so hard to promote this movie, I thought it must be bad. But now I’m feeling like he genuinely believes in it and just wants people to see it so hell yeah I’ll go see it, if only to back the guy who has given me so many great movies
I’ll eat that “Standing Man” monologue for breakfast, lunch and dinner!
An A plus B plus movie
My wife just asked me what movie I was going to see and I stared over her shoulder for 15 seconds and eventually said, "Steven Spielberg alien movie," after desperately trying to pull the title from my brain. So maybe Disclosure Day is not the best title.
did literally this exact same thing talking to a friend this AM on a call.
I keep confusing it with Michael Douglas Sexual-Harrassment Movie.
Perhaps you were not ready for full disclosure.
Steven Spielberg alien movie? I always think "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind", probably because I saw it on its first run in a theater. Yes. I'm that old.
