Oil prices fall after Trump cancels planned strikes on Iran
President Donald Trump called off planned new strikes on Iran, and Brent and West Texas Intermediate crude slid as markets repriced the lower near-term escalation risk. The Dow and Nasdaq moved higher and broader U.S. stocks gained as investors shifted away from safe-haven energy positions. The oil pullback trimmed the geopolitical premium that had supported fuel and energy shares and eased immediate inflation and market-volatility concerns.
Nobody has ever demonstrated this kind of mastery of financial manipulation. Donald Trump was able to manufacture hundreds of billions of dollars in financial market activity (both rising stock prices and falling oil prices) out of thin air. *Nothing* changed yet boom.
And of course––if you knew Trump was bluffing or merely had internal insights that he wasn't bluffing but was planning to abandon his extreme position––the opportunity created for extremely profitable insider trade by this manic-depressive belligerence cannot be restated enough.
It’s way past time for Congress (I know 😑) to Impeach, Convict & Remove his corrupt ass. 🤬
It's more a reflection of traders being absolute morons.
So Trump told Netanyahu that it includes removing enriched nuclear material, dismantling enrichment infrastructure, limits on missile production, and an end to Iranian support for Hezbollah etc. Uh. Okay. What exactly did they get in return?
Of course maybe Trump was just saying whatever Bib wanted to hear. And maybe they just threw cash at Iran in massive size. Both totally possible. Or..
nothing because i don’t think any of this happened
Nuclear enrichment etc are not part of the MOU (which was basically written by the Iranians) to be signed now, but are supposed to be at the end of the negotiations the ceasefire MOU that will happen during the cease fire, lol
tapping the Barak Ravid sign (it says “he’s lying for the trump administration“)
Iran: “we thank trump for his statement announcing unilateral surrender” Israel: “we thank trump for his statement announcing Iran’s unilateral surrender”
There’s no way the Iranians agreed to this. They know they have Trump over a barrel
So the framework for entering negotiations is the same asks they've had for 3 months that haven't led to any deals
But that's what he says will be in the final deal (yeah sure). They're just signing a framework to discuss that. Or maybe just an understanding of a framework. Or even a memo of an inderstanding.
Wrong tense. Not does, will.
Trump is not saying Iran agreed to do those things now but making promises about what he will be able to get in the future negotiations—ie, the significance of those things is that they are not part of any deal on the strait.
The final agreement will…..subject to the negotiations 😂
This kind of reads like Netenyahu is trying to set the terms to Trump, not Trump claiming this is in the deal
