Multiple NWS offices issue Hazardous Weather Outlooks and heat advisories

National Weather Service offices New York (OKX), Cleveland (CLE), Mount Holly (MHX) and Buffalo (BUF) issued Hazardous Weather Outlooks and Heat Advisories for Friday. MHX set a Heat Advisory from 11 AM to 8 PM EDT and BUF from noon to 8 PM EDT; OKX and CLE also kept Heat Advisories in effect until 8 PM EDT. The alerts cover the New York City metro, Long Island, New Jersey, northeastern Ohio and western New York, raising heat illness risk for outdoor workers and evening plans and prompting precautions for hydration and cooling.
