Doctor Who audio release and archive pieces circulate
Big Finish will release Circuit Breaker: The Deadliest Weapon, a new Doctor Who audio adventure starring the Fugitive Doctor against the Cybermen, on digital, CD and vinyl on 31 July. Matthew Kresal’s review recounts how the BBC’s February 1985 hiatus sidelined Colin Baker and left the serial The Ultimate Evil unproduced until Big Finish completed it 35 years later. Toby Hadoke’s Time Travels podcast ran an episode on The Invasion of Time Part Five, and current retrospectives include a William Hartnell profile and a JG Ballard audio clip recalling an episode linked to 'Aftermath'. With the TV series off air, these audio releases and archival features are preserving lost scripts, expanding continuity, and giving collectors and historians fresh material to explore.
...shelves. Random classic series DVDs and Blu-rays mixed together, not arranged in broadcast order, limited editions lazily lumped in with standard editions. No self-respecting Doctor Who fan could live like that. What does RTD take us for? Normal?! Disgusting. Dr Who died for me that day. RIP.
You had us all the first half, Pip, not gonna lie 😆
I mean the set dresser putting the Collection sets out and not even putting them in the order of the giant numbers they have on the side. This lack of attention to detail was the nadir of Doccy Who
have they even reversed the DVD covers of the new ones so they match the old ones? the shame of it
Michael is the law, and I am his scummy criminal bitch! Doctor Who meets Judge Dredd...kind of. This is an ugly, nasty, unfinished book but we still found quite a lot to recommend it. @michaelmills.bsky.social podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/h...
I'm curious about the Judge Dredd thing. Stone in interviews makes out it's because the Stalone movie flopped so badly. But it seems around the same time Virgin lost the licence to the 2000AD stuff
I'm never gonna read it but a Doctor meets Dredd novel written by Dave Stone is definitely intriguing.
Wow, this brings back memories... except of the actual book contents. I just grabbed it off the shelf and actually the back cover copy sounds pretty interesting?
