Workmen assemble scaffolding in preparation for removing Donald Trump’s name from the exterior of the Kennedy Center in compliance with court orders. The job was supposed to be completed before the end of Friday, June 12. The DOJ just acknowledged in a new filing that they started the work too late and requested a 12 hour to finish the task. The original defacement was done in a matter of hours just using two lift trucks. It is unclear why removing the lettering and repairing the damage to the marble cladding is so much more complicated and time consuming.
