The RAF Red Arrows led the King’s birthday flypast over Buckingham Palace, flying in formation with four F-35B Lightning jets as King Charles, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, and their children watched from the palace balcony. A 41-gun salute marked the ceremony and the Red Arrows' coloured smoke trails stayed visible across west London, enabling photographs. The display coincided with Ministry of Defence figures showing 14 of the RAF's 24 Hawk T1 jets have logged more than 80 percent of their fatigue life, highlighting equipment pressures on the aerobatic team. Trooping the Colour celebrates the monarch's official birthday and this year's flypast paired historic pageantry with modern military capability.
