June 14th, 'Rise Up, Sing Out' concert and national day of protest

Jane Fonda will host Rise Up, Sing Out: A Concert for the First Amendment on Sunday, June 14 at 7:30 p.m. Eastern at The Town Hall in New York City. The Committee for the First Amendment and the No Kings coalition organized the one-night event with performers Bette Midler, Patti Smith, Lily Gladstone, Rufus Wainwright, Joy Reid, Sasha Allen, and the Broadway Inspirational Voices, plus nationwide watch parties. Organizers call the concert a national day of protest defending the First Amendment and opposing rising fascism, urging local rallies and watch parties across the country. The high-profile lineup and coordinated local actions aim to turn cultural solidarity into political mobilization around free speech and democratic norms.
