Toyota wins 24 Hours of Le Mans, Nyck de Vries part of the winning line‑up
Toyota Racing's No. 7, driven by Nyck de Vries, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi, won the 94th 24 Hours of Le Mans. The victory gave Toyota its sixth Le Mans title, with the No. 7 holding off BMW M Team WRT's No. 20 crew of Sheldon van der Linde, Robin Frijns and René Rast and sister Toyota No. 8 of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley and Ryo Hirakawa. The top four Hypercars finished within 32 seconds after 24 hours, turning the finale into a fuel- and strategy-driven sprint. Nyck de Vries is the first Dutch Le Mans winner since Jan Lammers 38 years ago, and Toyota returned to the top step for the first time since 2022.
Congratulations Nyck de Vries, a great guy & a fine driver with whom I worked closely when he was a McLaren Young Driver Development Programme member & I was the team’s #F1 comms chief, now victorious for Toyota in this weekend’s #LeMans24Hours. Well deserved & wonderful to see! 👏
Well done Nyck! Was written off too soon, but he's a really good driver! Third Dutch Le Mans winner ever.
Back on top in sports cars, where he belongs.👏🏻
That was an excellent race and drive by number 7 team - they’ve had their share of tough breaks before now. Very well deserved.
