Stanford students walk out during Sundar Pichai commencement speech
More than 100 Stanford graduates walked out of Stanford Stadium on June 14, 2026, as Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai took the stage to deliver the commencement keynote. Organized by Students for Justice in Palestine and No Tech for Apartheid, protesters chanted "Free, Free Palestine" and pointed to Google's contracts with the Israeli military, the Department of Homeland Security and ICE.
