Tottenham hold talks with Sandro Tonali's camp in transfer pursuit

Tottenham Hotspur have opened positive talks with Sandro Tonali's representatives about a summer transfer from Newcastle United. Spurs have not yet contacted Newcastle and face a transfer-fee hurdle estimated near £100 million, with Manchester City and Arsenal also in the race. Reports from Ornstein and Romano linking Tonali to Spurs makes little football sense - the only attraction I can see is him increasing his salary and maybe living in London but all reports are he likes a quieter life in Newcastle. I could understand him going to Arsenal, Man U etc but not Tottenham
