The Toronto Maple Leafs named Jim Hiller their 41st head coach, the 57-year-old returning to the organization after serving as an assistant coach in Toronto from 2015 to 2019. Hiller most recently spent two seasons as head coach of the Los Angeles Kings and was dismissed on March 1. His hiring gives the Leafs a coach familiar with the club who will be tasked with guiding a roster led by Auston Matthews and William Nylander toward deeper playoff success.
