Toronto Maple Leafs hire Jim Hiller as head coach

Jim Hiller has been named head coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs. The 57-year-old most recently spent two seasons as head coach in Los Angeles, getting fired on March 1. nyti.ms/4xOJk2K

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced that Jim Hiller has been named the 41st Head Coach in franchise history. Hiller spent four years with the team as an assistant coach.

For his career thus far as an NHL head coach, Jim Hiller's playoff record is 3-8, so one playoff win per season on average. Sounds like a perfect fit.
