Good Trouble Weekend of Action set for July 17-19 to honor John Lewis
Organizers have scheduled the Good Trouble Weekend of Action for July 17-19 to honor Congressman John Lewis, marking six years since his passing. They plan three days of voter registration drives, door-to-door canvassing and coordinated digital actions across local meetups and national mobilizations, with events listed for July 17 in St. Charles, Illinois and other communities. The campaign frames the push as a response to recent voting restrictions, aiming to recruit volunteers, register voters and sustain engagement through November to protect voting rights and turn Lewis's 'get in good trouble' ethic into turnout.
They want us tired. They want us discouraged. They want us to believe our vote doesn't count. John Lewis knew better. He marched. He bled. He believed. July 17-19, we honor him by refusing to be silenced. Good Trouble Lives On

I am tired and I sometimes feel discouraged, but then I go and join a protest and feel re-energized by the people who are like minded and showing up!
What a great man. 🩵
Well, fasists don't care that we are not discouraged or tired of dissenting - so both those arguments are irrelevant - they know we aren't giving in. Our vote on the other hand, will only count if we can cast a ballot - a day may come when millions of us will bleed trying.
It would be nice to see a schedule or calendar for the Marching and Protests of up coming events
