How the Grinch Stole Christmas sequel in development
Jim Carrey is in talks to return as The Grinch in a new ‘GRINCH’ movie. Ron Howard is set to direct. (Source: www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
We love nostalgia slop! Hey guys look! It's that thing from when you were a kid and didn't hate yourself!! Please give the billionaires more money for jingling keys!!!
Hopefully it delves deeper into the Whos’s swinger lifestyle. In the first one they went to a key party (yes, look it up), but this time we want to see full Who frontal.
Call Mike Myers right now
Wtf even is there left to do? The Seuss story was a one and done deal. The Grinch needs a sequel as much as Independence Day did, which was not at all.
Striking while the iron is ice cold.
So like.. Grinch Night? I think Jim Carrey would work really well for that special. His iteration of The Grinch is known for being.. a bit disturbing.
People in the replies are underestimating how much nostalgia there is for the first one that came out in 2000.
‘How the Grinch Stole Christmas’ Sequel in the Works with Jim Carrey, Ron Howard www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie... "No deal is done, but Jim Carrey is in talks to reprise his role as the classic Dr. Seuss character the Grinch, with Ron Howard returning to direct."
They must've got him a convincing script for the Grinch halloween prequel.
Jim "I Don't Do Sequels" Carrey strikes again
If they make another Mask I hope they call that person who won that Nintendo Power contest.
Carrey was pretty vocal about hating the prosthetics/makeup because it took hours to apply so they must be throwing a fat bag at him to get him onboard for this one.
Scene: Grinch and his dog open up the door to his old unused cave, the music swells as he whispers "We're home Max."
He must be getting paid a king's ransom to go through the hell of putting that costume on again. His hatred of that rivaled Olga's hate for the Drevlians.
They doing Grinch night ?
Looks like the p6 final boss
‘Grinch 2’ is in the works • Jim Carrey is in talks to return • Ron Howard is set to direct (via THR)
The fuck they gonna do? He said he was sorry!!!
Do we really need a Grinch sequel? :/
How the hell did they convince Jim to get into that suit again? I heard it was hellish.
The first one sucked. These coward studios and their refusal to invest in new ideas and talent.
Guys please Please please please don't watch it These things keep being made because people keep going to see them We gotta stop the cycle, man
Also, I thought Dr. Seuss' estate explicitly prohibited live action adaptations of his works after the Cat in the Hat
It's been 26 years since the movie came out, why bother with a sequel since the original book never ever did so?
"How the Grinch Beat a Dead Horse"
I’m not interested unless Taylor Momsen is back.
As a 90s kid, I always thought the original was a classic. Now that I’m older, I can see where it missed the mark and why it is disliked by many people. I was always hypnotized by Jim Carrey‘s goofiness. There are some lines that I still laugh at every time to this day.
EXCLUSIVE: Universal and Imagine Entertainment are developing a sequel to 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas' with #JimCarrey in talks to reprise his role as the #Grinch and Ron Howard returning to direct. bit.ly/4xDM4Q8
jfc hire people to come up with new ideas fuck executive-driven franchise bullshit
I think we should still respect Dr. Seuss’s now-deceased widow’s opposition to any more live-action adaptations after the failure of the 2003 Cat In the Hat live-action movie.
Didn’t Carrey have a mental breakdown because he hated the makeup/suit so much?
Do you see what happens Zennials? Do you see what happens when you give a soft reappraisal to The Cat in the Hat movie? You're going to get three of these, now.
"How the Grinch Won the War On Christmas?" "How the Grinch Put Christ Back in Christmas?" This is stoopid, even by sequels-no-one-asked-for standards.
Lol, learned nothing from Backrooms and Obsession
Reminder that the first movie came out nearly a year before 9/11
There was a licensed sequel to How The Grinch Stole Christmas called How the Grinch Lost Christmas. It wasn't written nor drawn by Dr. Seuss, who died 32 years before the book came out. Feels ghoulish and even more of a cash grab from the Widow Seuss. seuss.fandom.com/wiki/Dr._Seu...!
I mean, he cheated on his first wife who was dying of cancer to be with her.
Eww... I just feel kinda... Ew.
What's especially weird is, I read it while shelving books where I work and. Like. It's basically the exact same story as the original but worse?
Found out about this one the other year with my nieces. Cash grab is right
