The Premier League released the full 2026/27 fixture list, with Arsenal set to begin their title defence at the Emirates against Coventry City on August 21st and the 380-match schedule concluding at the Emirates versus Brighton on May 30, 2027. Coventry City return to the top flight after a 25-year absence, making their opening-day trip to Arsenal a notable reunion. Arsenal will host Manchester City on November 28 and do not play a Premier League match outside London again until January 16, creating nine consecutive league games in London across the festive period under Mikel Arteta. Talking about the Arsenal-Coventry fixture my son suggested a new tradition of the Premier League champions playing the Championship champions to open every season, with both trophies on display. I have to say I quite like that idea.

One positive for Arsenal is their fixtures over the busy festive period. Mikel Arteta's side are set to host Manchester City on November 28. Arsenal then do not have a Premier League game outside of London until a trip to Hull on January 16. Nine PL games in a row in London.
