Moss VR game gets non‑VR port demo at Steam Next Fest
Moss: The Forgotten Relic, long praised as a VR showcase, released a playable non‑VR demo as part of Steam Next Fest so players without headsets can try it. The demo adapts Moss's intimate puzzle‑platforming and character-driven moments to standard gamepad and keyboard controls while retaining the series' small-scale sense of scale and charm. Opening the game to non‑VR players expands its audience and suggests more VR-first titles could get traditional ports.
I love Steam Next Fest. Checking out all the different games, finding new gems even I didn’t have on our massive list of games I keep an eye on. Just played a demo for a game that instantly jumped up my must play list. Yes, I’m being vague because it’ll be in our roundup video in the next week!
honestly i just love that demos are a thing again. for years i thought we'd never get back to the fun of, like, CDs filled with demos that you got with gaming magazines.
I’ve discovered SO MANY amazing games through Next Fest. A lot of pretty bad games too, but also a lot with good ideas that don’t quite work. There’s so much creativity on display, it’s the true beating heart of modern games in my opinion.
