Jonathan Toews announced his retirement Friday, ending a 16-season NHL career that included three Stanley Cups and two Olympic gold medals. The Winnipeg native spent the bulk of his career as captain of the Chicago Blackhawks, leading them to championships in 2010, 2013 and 2015, and finished last season with his hometown Winnipeg Jets.
