National Rejoin March, London
Pro-EU demonstrators held the National Rejoin March in central London on Saturday 20 June 2026, assembling at Temple from noon and rallying on Parliament Square at 2:30pm. Marchers called for a new referendum and for Britain to rejoin the European Union, arguing re-entry would restore single market access and freedom of movement. Former EU negotiator Michel Barnier said the UK could keep special pre-Brexit terms if it rejoined, and organisers cited polling showing 56% in England, 61% in Wales and 75% in Scotland now think leaving was wrong. Organisers positioned the march as a tenth-anniversary response to the 23 June 2016 referendum and said rejoining would address economic and political setbacks since Brexit, making the question central to upcoming national debates.
Poland overtaking countries like Portugal in household wealth shows the staggering, transformative power of the EU Single Market. Over two decades, integration has turned Eastern Europe into an economic powerhouse, while the UK watches from the sidelines. 🇪🇺📈 #RejoinEU #UKEconomy
I've worked with several Polish people and have always been struck by their work ethic, driven by bettering themselves AND a very strong loyalty to country and traditions. A friend of mine now lives there, and she's a good fit for that kind of culture.
