Turner Classic Movies is showing Paper Moon (1973) in tonight's Two-for-One block of the #TCMParty at 7:00 PM PT. Peter Bogdanovich directed the 1 hour 42 minute comedy that stars Ryan O'Neal, Tatum O'Neal, and Madeline Kahn, following a con man who forms an unlikely partnership with a young girl who may be his daughter. Tatum O'Neal won the 1974 Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 10, making her the youngest Oscar winner, and Lászlo Kovacs's cinematography and the film's blend of humor and pathos make it a historically significant and rewarding watch.

Did you know that Bruce Bennett (when he was still Herman Brix) was Edgar Rice Burroughs’ first choice to play Tarzan? An injury in 1931 made them go with Plan B, Johnny Weissmuller. Herman did end up donning the loincloth but it was really weird #TheManILove #NoirAlley #TCMParty
