DOJ refuses to certify end of Trump’s $1.8B 'anti-weaponization' fund
Top Justice Department lawyers, led by Todd Blanche, declined a federal judge’s order to provide a signed declaration confirming the $1.8 billion 'anti-weaponization' settlement fund is dead. The settlement agreement that created the $1.8 billion fund remains on the books, and the judge had given DOJ seven days to verify it would not be implemented. DOJ lawyers told the court a written sworn statement was unnecessary even as the underlying deal and liability protections persist. The standoff matters because it leaves legal uncertainty about whether the fund or its protections could be revived and hands the judge a pivotal enforcement decision.

How about we force Congress to aggressively pursue every act of contempt of Congress and start actually putting these people in jail. We already have a constitutional crisis. This just might resolve it.
