At Summer Game Fest, journalists who played Fuse Games' Star Wars: Galactic Racer praised its first-person, high-speed podracing and directly compared its handling and crash spectacle to Burnout. Hands-on previews say the game combines Episode I style podracing with Burnout-like takedown, boost, and crash mechanics, offers arcade multiplayer, and centers a roguelite single-player campaign slated to launch October 6. Reviewers highlighted a clean, hot rod inspired HUD, tight physics that sell blistering speed, and progression systems designed to make repeated runs meaningful, suggesting Galactic Racer could revive arcade crash-racing inside the Star Wars universe.

i really dont like the aesthetic of the new star wars racing game, which isnt it's fault, i just think modern star wars video games games look uniquely bad. it's a combo of disney star wars house style being Desaturated and Grounded + all the shows are also in Unreal Engine
