Star Wars: Galactic Racer preview highlights Burnout-style podracing
At Summer Game Fest, Fuse Games gave journalists hands-on demos of Star Wars: Galactic Racer, a high-speed podracing-style arcade racer reviewers compared directly to Episode I: Racer and the Burnout series. Reporters who played nearly an hour praised a roguelite single-player campaign, arcade multiplayer modes, a clean HUD, and physics that emphasize crashes and aggressive takedowns reminiscent of Burnout 3: Takedown. Previews called Galactic Racer the standout demo at the show and argued its mix of story-driven progression and fast, destructive racing could revive classic arcade racing excitement ahead of the game's October 6 launch.

I've got a larger interview coming later, but the people making this game are vastly experienced and, from what I've seen/heard, are shaping an absolute hit. Can't wait to play more
Nice write up! Sounds amazing that they added the damage feature, so you gotta choose between ramming other people and keeping the ship in tact. Burnout reference has me hyped
Not enough of you played Onrush and it's showing in your Galactic Racer previews.
I put so much effort into making a behind the scenes video on it and nobody watched it. Made me sad not just for the video but for what it meant for the game. I love OnRush.
As a person who is always thinking about Onrush, I was thinking about Onrush so much when I demoed it.
What a game - overwatch with cars
