England held to 0-0 draw by Ghana in Foxborough
Ghana held England to a 0-0 draw at Foxborough in World Cup Group L, with Harry Kane missing a late chance as Thomas Tuchel's side dominated possession but failed to score. England controlled much of the ball yet produced no shots on target in the first half and generated few clear-cut opportunities, leaving Jordan Pickford largely untested. The result leaves England and Ghana level on four points in Group L, England with a +2 goal difference and Ghana with +1 while Croatia sit on three points. England's inability to finish chances threatens their bid for top spot and gives Ghana momentum heading into the final group matches.
0-0 draws are goofy. instead, play extra time, removing two players every 5 min until only the keepers remain 1 v 1
Fifa implements hydration breaks and they don’t even consider this, smh
I think they should track “displays of weakness” every time someone writhes in pain for no good reason, and whoever has the fewest of those wins in a tied score.
Every time a team scores, they get to eat one of the other team. Makes draws less likely, saves on paying players
Last year our kid's parks soccer team made it to the final of their little division, which ended in a tie, at which point everyone learned (including coaches! Only the refs knew) that the league overtime rules were almost literally this! It was wild
