Mick Fleetwood celebrates 79th birthday
Mick Fleetwood, co-founder and drummer of Fleetwood Mac, turned 79 today; he was born Michael John Kells Fleetwood in Redruth, Cornwall, on June 24, 1947. He helped form Fleetwood Mac in 1967 with Peter Green and John McVie, and the band’s name comes from Fleetwood’s surname and McVie’s nickname "Mac". Fleetwood’s drumming anchored the group through its peak commercial era, including Rumours (1977), which sold more than 40 million copies worldwide. At 79, Fleetwood remains active in photography and occasional acting while continuing to perform, a presence that has helped keep Fleetwood Mac influential across generations.

I love old school albums, like Bare Trees and Future Games. Black Magic Woman is a good one, and I love Hypnotized. Hard to pick one. Oh, Well. 😃
All the Peter Green stuff is great! He’s a criminally underrated guitar player. To my mind, the best of the British blues guys, along with Beck.
The Chain (rather obviously) but I like Albatross coz it's kinda mellow
Mick is an amazing percussionist who enjoys being behind a kit and playing his ass off.
His best drum song IMHO was Tusk. A great rhythmic drummer. Solid
Love the drums on Second Hand News.

Tusk, in its entirety, with the pauses, as Lindsey Buckingham intended it to be heard.
Riannon & You make loving fun,McVee had a great voice
REDRUTH, in CORNWALL, take that crappy English flag away. Where's the CORNISH, St PIRANS FLAG? Redruth is Cornish, not English! Facts matter!
I loved that duet he did with Sam Fox
The Fleetwood Mac Live album is superior music to their studio projects. I think because Mick really lays down a better beat on stage. That and the drugs.
Pretty much anything from the Peter Green era - y'know, the *real* Fleetwood Mac.
sure he’ll like it too !
Can you really say you skipped any Fleetwood Mac songs? Their catalog is ridiculously strong. Some of my picks are "The Chain," "Go Your Own Way," "Gypsy," "You Make Loving Fun," "Silver Springs," "Rhiannon," "Dreams," "Landslide," "Black Magic Woman," "Tusk," "Sara," and "Never Going Back Again."
All of them. All of the songs. And Peter Green was such a talented man too.

after many lineup changes & a few albums, the band, Fleetwood Mac, moved to the US where Stevie & Buckingham joined them. Fleetwood Mac has sold over 120 million records worldwide, released 18 studio albums, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
I loved everything Fleetwood Mac produced prior to Buckingham Nicks joining the band. Kudos to Buckingham Nicks for making Fleetwood Mac a commercial success which the band certainly deserved, but pop music isn't my cup of tea. The real Fleetwood Mac. youtu.be/t9MvfR3HXEA?...
Their Rumors albums often keeps me company when I drive. It’s never gotten old.
Hard to pick just one youtu.be/rY_sPiv6tC4

One of the deepest catalogs in music history. So many great songs to choose from, but today "The Chain" gets the nod. This song never gets old. youtu.be/kBYHwH1Vb-c?...
I'd have to say Rumours.
“Songbird,” sung by the wonderful Christine MacVie, who passed away far too soon, is one of the very best songs ever written and performed.
I have 2. Rumours and Tango in the Night.
So many great Fleetwood Mac songs
The box set 25 years - The Chain.
Fleetwood Mac. Such a fresh new sound. Christine McVie’s “Over My Head” is still my favorite.
The Dance It's live, it's awesome, and it has so many great tunes from many of their albums.
