Great American State Fair sees walkouts as performers and states pull out

cultureJun 25, 202625501

President Donald Trump kicked off the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., drawing a sparse crowd estimated at slightly more than 1,000 people. Several musical acts withdrew ahead of the event, and Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro told The New Republic that Pennsylvania would not participate in Trump’s 250th 'Freedom 250' celebrations. During Trump’s brief speech portions of the audience walked out, and reporters documented empty sections, concessions problems, and multiple advertised performers who did not appear.
