Dua Lipa is opening The Manifesto Library inside Livraria Lello in Porto, Portugal, to spotlight banned and censored books. The pop star, who founded the Service95 Book Club in 2021, partnered with Livraria Lello to create the physical library. Doors open June 27. The Manifesto Library will house 100 banned and challenged titles organized across four themes. Organizers describe the space as a "third place" for historically banned and censored books and invite visitors to "decide for yourself what belongs on these shelves." The project builds on Lipa's Service95 book-club work and aims to encourage reading and public conversation about contested titles.
