The Charlotte Hornets traded forward Miles Bridges plus a 2029 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for guard Grayson Allen, forward Royce O'Neale and a 2033 first-round pick, sources report. Shams and ESPN confirmed the deal as part of Charlotte's ongoing offseason overhaul after the team nearly reached the playoffs last season. The move sends Bridges to a Suns roster that could now feature Devin Booker, Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, Miles Bridges and Mark Williams in a projected starting look. Phoenix also improves its second-apron cap room from about $5 million under to roughly $11.3 million under, according to estimates included in reporting. Charlotte receives two veteran rotation players and a later first-rounder while surrendering an earlier 2029 first and a 2027 second, shifting draft assets and veteran roles for both teams heading into free agency and the 2024-25 season.

I wrote about what it would mean for the Suns to trade for Miles Bridges 2 and a half years ago when these rumors first started popping up. My feelings haven’t really changed on the matter:
