Stephen Eustáquio scored in the 90+2nd minute to give Canada a 1-0 win over South Africa, securing the nation's first men's World Cup knockout match victory on Sunday in Inglewood. The goal came in the second minute of second-half stoppage time and sent Canada into the World Cup Round of 16. Canada will face the winner of Netherlands versus Morocco in Houston on July 4. Eustáquio, who plays for LAFC, was named FIFA Man of the Match for his decisive contribution. The stoppage-time strike was the first 90+ minute winner in a men's World Cup knockout game since Nacer Chadli's goal for Belgium in 2018.
