The Washington Mystics beat the Portland Fire 124-123 after four overtimes, a quadruple-overtime game that the posts describe as the first of its kind in more than 25 years. Sonia Citron scored 32 points, Michaela Onyenwere had 30 and Kiki Iriafen added 27, each marking career-high scoring nights. The game lasted about 3 hours and 35 minutes and featured a Pride-night “for the gays” chant from the crowd. Washington escaped with the one-point win amid visible late-game free-throw struggles and heavy rotations into extra periods. The loss continues Portland’s road struggles; Portland has not won away since a May 25 victory in Brooklyn.

Gabby Williams was on to something last night when she said she couldn’t lose on Pride night. WNBA teams hosting Pride games are 10-2 this season, with the losses coming when Minnesota and Washington stole wins on each other’s Pride nights over the last week.

The WNBA's brief period without a team on a multi-game streak of either the winning or losing variety has gone as quickly as it came, as Chicago, Connecticut and Golden State all won their second straight games last night at home while sending Washington, Portland and Atlanta to their second losses in a row. The best game of the night and probably a top-five game so far this season closed out the slate when the Golden State Valkyries outlasted the Atlanta Dream by a 78-75 margin on Pride Night at Ballhalla. Gabby Williams scored 13 points of her 16 points in the fourth quarter and further endeared herself to a Ballhalla crowd
