Big Brother 28 unveils 'Time Trip' house, season starts July 9

CBS unveiled BIG BROTHER: TIME TRIP as the Season 28 theme and released first photos of the new house, which is decorated with era-spanning relics from prehistoric times through the 1980s to a far-flung future. The Time Trip house includes themed rooms, visible props such as a jukebox and other era-specific items, plus hidden clues and mechanics that CBS says could introduce new twists and change the game. The season premiere is set for Thursday, July 9. Host Julie Chen Moonves said she could not imagine Big Brother without the live feeds, calling them what makes the show "extra special, extra unique, and can pull anyone in at any time." Coverage so far shows interior shots but notes some key rooms, including the Have-Not bedroom, have prompted viewer curiosity about how twists will be staged. Producers have signaled twists tied to the Time Trip motif will play into competition and strategy when the season begins.

One of my friends got into Big Brother for the first time last year… entirely driven by the feeds. I tried to introduce her to Love Island this year but she wasn’t into it because there are no feeds. They are definitely what sets the show apart and brings in new viewers 25 years later.
