Trump calls current US NATO support 'ridiculous' ahead of summit

I'll take heat stoke for the win
Invade Poland? With what army and wha equipment? It’s bluster. Putin is having men kidnapped off the streets for his failing war in Ukraine. Poland will kick his ass without NATO’s help
I think that’s just old fashioned “Sabre rattling” to see what shakes out, Russia is broke dick thanks to the superior fighting capabilities of Ukraine
Russia will get the crap kicked out of it by NATO just like the Ukraine was doing and is still doing. Russia is terrified of NATO because NATO has better equipment and Troops. Russia was terrified of the US until Trump sold us out.
The US under Trump will ignore their NATO commitment and Putin knows it (i.e. he's ordered his Compromat in the Oval Office to stand down). This is an egregious hail-Mary play by Putin to divert attention from Ukraine. Likely it will be started by some false flag event in Kaliningrad. 😬
No one is concerned about dumpster collapsing from the heat. The world is,in fact, cheering for it!😂👍
"An Polen wurde eine dringende Warnung gerichtet, dass Russland möglicherweise vorhabe, die Entschlossenheit der NATO auf die Probe zu stellen, ..., während Trump und Hegseth offenbar immer näher daran sind, wichtige NATO-Verbündete im Stich zu lassen."
I'd love to wake up one day with something to look forward to, newswise.
More proof felon Donald Trump is a Russian asset (or agent)! QUESTION: Is Pete Hegseth also a direct Russian asset or does Hegseth help Russia in his routine role as a Trump conspirator?
Aaron is my go-to for straight news without ranting or manipulation. He's the Walter Cronkite of independent journalists.
This is what Putin has been waiting for! The US will desert their allies in Europe. We need leaders whom have principles and bravery!
Secretary of State Marco Rubio and senior Trump administration officials blocked Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth from announcing major US troop cuts in Europe at the recent NATO gathering, WSJ reports.
Blocked the cuts or blocked announcing the cuts?
Just do it already. Europe knows (or bloody well should do) that Trump would never stand by Nato obligations. Having that out in the open would do everyone a favour and help get past the institutional blockage that's preventing non-US Nato from developing a genuinely functional alliance.
The US is going to lose its bases in the middle east. I don't think there will be appeasing Iran otherwise. Even if they do stay, they won't ever be able to be considered safe. That means US troops and bases in Europe just became much more important. Hopefully the EU can exploit that leverage.
Waiting until just after the elections in November?
They will announce afterwards. Russia 2.0 at work.
Much like all sociopaths these Russian assets won’t be happy until they totally isolate the US. What morons.
NATO is the most important military alliance in the totality of human history. Putin's top objective has been to smash it. Trump is his agent in this process.
This comparison is irrelevant, since US military spending is for purposes extendng far beyond Europe and NATO. Also, Europeans and everyone else knows that the US will continue to spend enormous amounts on defense, no matter what other countries do.
The one time Article 5 was invoked was on 9/11 - when the NATO allies stood with the US. I am so f'ing sick of his lies, ignorance, and dangerous posturing.
For the zillionth time -- the only time NATO helped anyone so far was US on September 11. Never, ever, forget this.
What is shameful, is the number of Americans who see this and agree with Trump
They’ve been grooming him for this role ever since he started going to Russia 40 years ago.
NATO is a mutual DEFENCE treaty not a belligerent random invasion/resource theft pact. All military spending the USA takes from TAX PAYERS, does not go to NATO defense, it goes to wars of choice and war crimes.
If President Butt Baby understood math or charts, he'd recognize this as a badge of honor since the defense spending requirement in Article 5 of the NATO charter is based on a percentage of GDP. Obviously the US has a larger GDP than fucking Poland, Italy, etc
The President is celebrating America 250 by spreading Russian propaganda. That used to be a headline. It's not even a story anymore.
Dat gatlikken en Amerikaanse wapens kopen heeft nogal opgebracht.
Tyranny survives on manufactured outrage. This graphic isn't evidence, it's propaganda. America's $999B funds its ENTIRE military, not NATO. NATO's common budget is about €5B, shared among allies. Truth requires effort. Propaganda only requires loyalty. .
The DAY cannot come soon enough for this disgusting pedo rapist felon grifter
He’s so cooked and the GOP is such a sick and vile bunch of flying monkey sociopaths that they’re allowing this braindead, malignant narcissist pedo to remain in office. They all need to go. Every last one of them.
He also lies about history. The only time NATO article 5 has been invoked in 80 years was by the USA after 9/11, and Europe was there for the USA without hesitation, losing many people in Afghanistan as a result.
Germany just increased their commitment. They aren’t even on the graph.
Numbnuts is confusing correlation with causation. The United States is not spending a penny more because European nations have more modest military budgets. Not one red cent. BTW, I would wager that Trump receives something from every military contractor.
#TraitorTrump is a pathological liar.
If Putin thinks invading Poland is going to fracture NATO, they might want to remember Article 5 instead. TBH I’m surprised the Trump administration would warn Poland. Something seems off here.
Russia getting its ass handed to it by Ukraine. This whole thing is way off for too many reasons to list.
It's a Trump shakedown of NATO members
Trump has no idea what NATO is for, he can’t find Poland on a map, and oh look, a squirrel
Go ahead, attack Poland. Europe then can snatch up Kaliningrad and build a nice beach town.
I feel Russia is stretched pretty thin with just Ukraine right now. Doesn’t seem like they have the resources for this. Unless they are trying to start WW3 with nukes.
From what I have read Putin isn't exactly in a position to expand his war.
Canada aims to announce 10 countries backing global defence bank at NATO summit #Canada #NATO The Defence Bank will be built and run in Canada. ctvnews.ca/canada/artic...
/2 The specific host city has not yet been finalized. Five Canadian cities are actively bidding for the headquarters: Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Halifax.
Canada continues to lead the way. 🇨🇦❤️
We are going to end up thanking trumplethinskin for Canada’s super star status 🤭🤣
Our PM is the current leader of the free world .
Has anyone actually explained the point of this bank, or are we all just assuming Banker Daddy knows what he's doing?
Ukraine has Russia’s energy infrastructure absolutely fucking cooked. Russians are waiting upwards of six hours for gas. Meanwhile, Trump is ramping up his attacks on NATO. That’s not a coincidence.
Trump has always spoken on behalf of Russia. This is where his allegiances lie. It has never been a secret. His followers are just too dumb to see it.
NATO is a bulwark for the US, against its enemies.
Donald Trump is the biggest traitor the US has ever seen.
Like I said … not a coincidence www.kyivpost.com/post/79532
No its not a coincidence. #putin gets his money worth. And #krasnov delivers. #GetThem🍊FuckersOutOfNATO
Donny Babbles hates NATO, simply because he is too insecure to work and play well with others.
One of my biggest frustrations. YOUR POTUS openly fucking supports RUSSIANS. FUCKING RUSSIANS. The guillotine is not enough.
Time to plan for a European defence strategy that doesn’t rely on America… www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...
If so, European countries should move away from buying defence equipment from America, including any future nuclear deterrent.
Ridiculous for Europe to depend on a country like the US. It's too unstable.
Exactly. This involves not buying US apparatus but European. Also a realistic discussion on Nuclear. Its costing circa 1% of the 2.7% budget. Is it worth it? Or take it out of overall calculations into special stand alone category at least.
